Transferring your times into TCMS V3 via a USB drive

Your fingertec terminal is able to download user information and attendance times to a USB drive.  This can be useful for situations such as your office network going down or on sites where there is no network cabling or wifi set up yet.

First you need to go to the terminal and insert the USB drive into the terminal.  The steps can vary slightly depending on the model you have.

TA200

Press the Menu Key.

Select Download and hit ok.

Select Download Attlog and hit ok.

TA500

Press the Menu Key.

Select Pendrive and hit ok.

Select Download Attlog and hit ok.

TA700

Press the Menu Key.

Select Dn/Upload or USB and hit ok.

Select Download Attlog and hit ok.

Importing the times into TCMS v3

• Go to the Scheduling and Attendance tab
• Click on Import transaction log
• The Import Transaction Log window will appear
• Select the attached USB disk drive location which should then show up under the Disk Drive section.
• Select the attendance log file (name should end in dat)
• Click Download
• Once that’s complete click on the Generate button
• Ensure all employees are selected and select the period you have downloaded times for then hit ok
