To ensure that your employees clocking times are correct for the coming daylight-saving time change, there will need to be a minor configuration change on your part to the TimeTec TA cloud software.

It’s essential to enable DST in the software when Daylight Saving begins and disable it when it ends to ensure accurate timekeeping.

If you’ve purchased a FingerTec device(s), the TimeTec TA cloud software also enables you to synchronise the date and time for all connected FingerTec device(s).  

To enable or disable the Daylight Saving Time.

Go to COMPANY > System Settings

1. Scroll down to General Settings.
2. Click the pencil icon to Edit.

1. Click the button under Daylight Saving Time (DST) to enable. (The button will show green when enabled)
2. Click the tick to Save or the arrow to Cancel.

To sync the time of the FingerTec device.

There’s no need to adjust the time on the actual device when Daylight Saving Time starts or ends.

Device Type – Webster (FingerTec) – TA500, TA500WR, TA700, FACE ID2, FACE ID4.

Device Type – Smart DBS (FinterTec & ZKTeco) – FACE ID5 and Face ID5 FTD.

Navigate to Device > Terminal > Select either Webster (FingerTec) or Smart DBS (FingerTec & ZKTeco).

Ensure the FingerTec device connection status shows Green before proceeding.

1. Click the tick on the left hand side to Select the device.
2. Click the blue pencil icon to Edit the device.

1. Select the correct time zone from the Time Zone dropdown.
2. Click the grey tick to Save or the grey arrow to Cancel.

Time synchronisation on the FingerTec device takes around 5-10 minutes and sometimes requires restarting the device based on the network connection.
