If you are experiencing issues with the FaceID 4 units verifying your staff it can pay to run through the calibration process.  

1) Press [M / OK] to enter the machine’s main menu —> [Auto Test] —> [Real-Time Clock Test] or [RTC Test].

2) Tap anywhere on the screen start the clock counting. When the range is between 01 (s): 0 ms to 01 (s): 9 ms, tap anywhere on the screen again to stop it.

3) Repeat step (2) for 3 times.

4)  When you have done the above the face recognition calibration mode will be turned on.  Press [ESC] to return to the previous interface.

5) Then, tap the [Test Face] button to enter the face test interface. At this point, two boxes will appear on the screen to detect the face, one for the upper and the other for the lower angle of the face . There will be a small ‘Save’ icon at the top left corner of the screen. This is an indication to confirm that the calibration mode has been turned on, otherwise this calibration mode has yet been turned on successfully. Please perform step 1 – 4 again.

6) Adjust the face to a position as centre as possible. The size of the upper and lower face boxes are about the same sizes.

7) The bar on the left side of the screen should be kept as high as possible.

8) After step (6) and (7), press the ‘Save’ icon and complete the calibration.   

You can now escape completely back to the home screen.
