Installing the FingerTec Devices

To help with installing the FingerTec devices, please refer to link of your specific model that you purchased.

Also ensure that you have a power point located within a metre of the device and a maximum length of network cable that doesn’t exceed 90 metres.

The installation guides will provide the following information for each of the devices.

Step 1. Determine the Location and Positioning of the Installation

Step 2. Mounting Terminals

Step 3. Wiring for Power Supply

Step 4. Setting Up Data Communication

Step 5. Finalising the Installation

Note: When configuring the network settings on the device, ask your IT professionals to provide you with a static IP address so you can enter it into the device.
If you use DHCP, ask them to reserve an IP address for the device to avoid any potential conflicts so you can download the data from the device to the software with no issues.
